Charles the Fighter

Charles "Charlie" Odom is currently in ICU at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center and on full life support. He was life flighted to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center the night of February 15th and has the best doctors in the world looking over him. He has been diagnosed with type A flu, pneumonia, ARDS, MRSA, and possibly HLH. He's on multiple antibiotics to fight off the infections, but the HLH is making that very difficult. HLH has his immune system fighting against itself which is causing damage to his tissues and organs including the liver, brain, and bone marrow where his blood is made. Per HLH treatment protocol, they have started chemo therapy for the next 5 days which helps with rebooting his immune system and preventing further damage.

He's in a very crucial stage right now and needs all the prayers he can get. If you know Charles, you know that he is a very strong man and he is not going to give up.  Please share his story with everyone you know and please pray for God to heal him. 

 His wife is standing by his side 20 hours a day and sleeping 1-2 hours per night. Neither of them have medical insurance and they really need our help financially. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated to help them in this time of need.
