Supporting My Family During a Difficult Time
In 2017, our family faced a devastating setback when my dad suffered a major stroke, which resulted in the loss of his life insurance. Unfortunately, my mom was unaware that payments needed to be made to maintain the policy. My parents have been living on a low income, relying heavily on Social Security Income (SSI) to make ends meet.
My Mom, a retired nurse, despite facing physical constraints, worked tirelessly to care for my dad over the last 7 years, to make sure he got the best possible care, at the detriment of her own health, and for very small pay. This income was crucial in helping them cover their daily expenses. However, the loss of my dad's life insurance has left us in a difficult situation. While my mom may qualify for some survivor benefits from SSI, they won't be enough to cover the costs of my dad's funeral and handling his affairs.
I want to emphasize that there's no guilt or shame in not being able to donate. I'm reaching out to those who are in a position to help. If you find it in your heart to contribute, your support will make a significant difference. The funds raised will go towards covering the expenses of the funeral and easing the financial burden on my mom during this challenging time.
My Mom also plays a vital role in supporting my sister, her son, and my brother, all of whom live with her and are unable to work due to various circumstances. This situation has stretched our finances to the limit, and I'm doing everything I can to assist. Your donation will help ensure that my family can meet their immediate financial needs while we work on finding sustainable solutions for their long-term well-being.
I want to assure every donor that transparency is a priority for us. I will provide regular updates on how the funds are being used, so you can have confidence that your contribution is truly making a difference in our lives.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and consider supporting us during this challenging time. Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated.
