Charles William Coussey's Memorial Fund

Hello There, my name is Ofie Ofuatey-Kodjoe, and I'd like to tell you a story about Charles William Coussey.

Charles is my cousin and he lives in Accra, Ghana. While some might say that I am biased, I'm really not. Charles is one of the most creative and driven people I know. He is a digital creator, photographer, and digital marketing genius.

Earlier this year Charles was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and has been undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy for the past 6 months. Unfortunately, the treatment failed, and the tumor continued to grow.

To alleviate his discomfort, the doctors decided to operate to remove a majority of the mass and continue to treat him. This only caused the tumor to grow back more aggressively after a few days.

Doctors have determined that there is nothing more they can do for him in Accra and have advised, while his condition is fully treatable, they simply do not have the equipment or resources to execute the treatment he needs, in Ghana. They have further advised that due to the aggressive nature of the tumor and the advancement of the cancer, time is of the essence.

We have been told to seek immediate treatment overseas, otherwise, there is no chance of survival. So we are on a quest to secure treatment at one of the Cancer Treatment Centers here in the US.

Considering that Charles is coming from outside of the U.S. and is uninsured, the cost of this treatment is astronomical. So on behalf of our entire family, we ask for your support as we endeavor to secure this treatment.
