Charles Hoffacker Fine Art fire
Donation protected
An early morning warehouse fire in Bayou St. John on April 23, 2018, destroyed the work studio of New Orleans police detective and acclaimed artist Charles Beau Hoffacker. Lost to the fire were more than 100 irreplaceable paintings and mixed-media fine art pieces, along with Charlie's art supplies such as canvasses, paints, woodworking tools, framing supplies and more. If you have ever been moved by Charles' brilliant art, which often depicts the duality of beauty and violence, joy and sorrow in New Orleans, please donate. If you've ever been made to laugh by Charlie's unique sense of humor and approach to life, please donate. If you've ever been touched by Charlie, please donate today and help our friend regain the tools, supplies and new studio workspace needed to resume exploring his artistic vision.
