Charleston Together Initiative

Sen.  Marlon Kimpson and Rep. Marvin Pendarvis created the Charleston Together initiative, whose funds will be available to nonprofit organizations to enhance community and race relations by providing resources to programs and organizations that work with African American and other underserved communities. Another goal of the fund is to support programs that have the capacity to help small businesses that have limited or no available insurance coverage to fully recover from damages due to recent events. Charleston Together is proud to partner with the Coastal Community Foundation-a 501(c)(3)-to create the fund and to expand the community outreach component of this initiative.
