Charlestown Sounds Music Festival

I'm throwing a one-day music festival on April 8th to celebrate the ability of music to unite the Charleston community! But I need your help....
As a freshman at the College of Charleston, I started a video interview series, entitled Charlestown Sounds, that has allowed me to share the stories and sounds of talented local musicians. As a result of my time spent working with these creative individuals, and living in the diverse Charleston community as a Communication and Arts Management student at C of C, I have discovered that bringing people together through music is one of the main purposes of my life. As a way of putting into action this vision of bringing communities together through music, I have decided to throw a one-day music festival as a personal project.
I have already secured a venue and a date for the festival, and gathered an amazing group of musicians who are excited to help me achieve the mission of my festival. The Charlestown Sounds Music Festival will be held at the Music Farm on April 8th 2017, and the mission of the festival is to celebrate local music, community and collaboration. While I have a clear vision of what this festival will be, I do not have the funds available to produce this event on my own. The funds received will go directly towards the costs of producing this event (costs include renting the venue, paying the Music Farm staff, paying the musicians, printing, insurance, and incidentals). I’m so grateful for the people God has placed around me who support me in every area of my life, and I’m looking forward to celebrating the power of music and the importance of community alongside you! Thank you for your support!
