Charli’s Heart Surgery

Hello Everyone,
For those of you who aren’t familiar I’m going to give a little backstory on Charli‘s story. My little girl was a born in June and to our surprise was diagnosed with down syndrome at birth. This meant a lot of unexpected events for us! She had trouble eating shortly after birth which let us down a road of discovery for some of her medical issues. She had laryngomalachia and surgery at 3 weeks old, but we also found out that she had three holes in her heart; a VSD, ASD, and more common PDA. Her VSD being moderate to large. This causes her little body to work extra hard because her oxygenated and deoxygenated blood are being mixed. Doctors said she would more than likely have surgery before one year of age depending on her growth. Thankfully we have put SO much time into her getting stronger that she is “thriving” doctors say and we are ready for open heart surgery. We will be in the hospital 7-10 days (the average at least) and her healing time afterwords is about 8 weeks of being extra careful with picking her up, positioning, and play time.
We are starting this fund raiser to help us out with our living expenses during this time so that I can spend as much time focusing on her healing and not working. Unfortunately our social security hasn’t gone through yet and getting back to work has been delayed with all our unexpected battles. Being a single mom means that her support depends solely on me so we appreciate you even reading this far, praying for us, and supporting us in anyway ❤️
