Charlie Cox 40th B-Day Fundraiser for Sightsavers

Welcome to the 5th Annual Charlie Cox Birthday Fundraiser, benefiting Sightsavers International

British actor Charlie Cox is especially known for his portrayal of Matt Murdock, a blind superhero, on several seasons of Marvel's Daredevil, soon to be revived as Daredevil Born Again, as well as roles in The Theory of Everything, Stardust, Boardwalk Empire, a year on the Harold Pinter play, Betrayal, Irish crime drama, Kin, which returns for a season 2 next year, and of course some very exciting recent appearances in the MCU in Spider-Man No Way Home and She-Hulk Attorney at Law. What you may not know is Charlie has continually used his status and visibility to do so much for the less fortunate, including travel and outreach with various charities.

Charlie's birthday is December 15th! This annual fundraising effort was started by Van and I as appreciation for Charlie's endless generosity, in the vein of something they thought he'd enjoy: a fundraiser benefiting Sightsavers International, a charity he loves and personally supports. And together, you have helped raise $12,000+ over the past four years for different charities as an annual birthday gift to Charlie. ♥ And he's said to us, directly, 'It's the best gift anyone could give me.'

Charlie is celebrating a big milestone birthday this year - 40! - and it would be a real treat to hit some new milestones in our fundraising goals as well. In addition, this is the first year this fundraiser will be put on without the help of our beloved friend, Van, who passed away earlier this year. It’s a loss that has remained deeply felt by many of us who knew and loved her in the greater Charlie and Daredevil fandom community. But even though Van is no longer with us, I am fortunate to have friends help me make this possible for another year. If you knew Van and appreciated her efforts on this front, we would ask you to consider making any size donation to Charlie’s fundraiser in her honor. ♥

Starting today, Saturday, December 10th through Saturday, December 17th, we're hoping Charlie’s fans will come together and help raise a little money for this very worthy cause. Any donation, big or small, is loved and appreciated and goes toward making this world a better place. If your employer does corporate matching on charitable donations, please contact us so we can add that to the total! Donations from any country will be converted on the site!
