Charlie Gardner (FWC) Retirement and Medical fund
Donation protected
Our dear father, friend and colleague is in need of a little extra help. After 24 years of doing what he loves, Charlie has retired as a biologist from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission. Charlie’s retirement comes at a time when he needs to focus on his health.
Charlie has always had an unwavering passion for the outdoors, and that is why his 24 years with FWC has suited him. For all those years, Charlie played an invaluable role in our FWC family. He built genuine relationships with coworkers, charter captains, recreational anglers, and any stranger he could make out in the field. Charlie was truly the best at what he did and his dedication and approach to fisheries research won’t soon be forgotten. There isn’t a boat ramp, marina, or pier in the Tampa Bay area that hasn’t had a memorable interaction with Charlie Gardner. Whether he was gifting a young angler a marine fossil or photographing a novice fisherman with his first big catch, Charlie always had a way of making people smile.
Since Charlie needs to take some time to focus on his health at home, we are unable to throw him a retirement celebration. Charlie has spent many years always helping those around him and we’re hoping we can return the favor in his time of need. Charlie requires in-home health care which his family has taken on most of the responsibility. To help alleviate some of the financial stress on the family we are hoping to raise some much-needed funds. If you could please help your dear friend or colleague and make any sort of contribution, we know he’d truly be thankful.
