Charlie is paralysed & needs our help.

Charlie is the loveliest little Cocker Spaniel that we rescued from the Pound after coming from a dreadful situation in 2019 with rope around his neck, exceptionally skinny and awful mange and an internal infection that we thought we were going to lose him several times! But Charlie, our little fighter has always had a vive for life and went into long term Foster care with one of our amazing Volunteers where he has recuperated and been loved so so much.
Sept 26th this all changed when poor Charlie did his usual trot down the stairs but on the last step he collapsed in agony and was rushed to our Vets in Dublin unable to move. Our Dublin vets were fantastic and gave Charlie so much veterinary attention and were there all the way in this emergency. It turns out he is paralyzed and we have now moved him to Veterinary Specialists Ireland where he has spent the last few days getting MRI's, tests and treatments to try and see what has been going on with Charlie. It turns out it is a Spinal stroke and that has caused his paralysis . He is now 6 days like this and treatment for Charlie and bills already incurred are going to be very large for us.
We have vowed that we are going to help Charlie in every way we can and the Vet specialists have said that there is hope for Charlie as he has started to move one of his legs and his head and neck are working and very positively his bladder is working on its own which is very positive with a paralysis case. Charlie has come through so much and adores his long term Foster family and has really and truly fought for the last year to get back to health and for this to happen. But again he has persevered and his little tail is also wagging.
Months of veterinary care, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and maybe a wheelchair/stroller for him are what is ahead for lovely Charlie and we want to give him ALL that he deserves. This boy has been through enough and we just need some help to be able to give this for Charlie.
Charlie wants to live and be loved and have fun once again and he deserves this chance to get back that again.
We are Protecting Pound Dogs Rescue, will do everything to do this for Charlie and we appreciate any help we can as a Registered Charity, fundraising during this time is very limited and so we are very low on funds to be able to help Charlie. Every Euro counts and we Thank you in advance.
