Charlie Needs to Run
Donation protected
YES! We have reached our initial goal of $2.5k which is amazing!
BUT it's only half the story: further donations will help keep me from going in to too much debt, and will be ever so gratefully accepted.
Thank you, thank you.

Hello, this is Charlie Brown and my name is Richard.
12months ago my life improved dramatically when I adopted Charlie via Paws and Claws Adoptions. His loving presence has brought remarkable improvements in my mental health situation (which had previously troubled me for decades).
But all of this feels to be crashing down since Charlie twisted his knee and now needs cruciate ligament surgery! In total, I’ll be in the hole for around $5000 including physiotherapy. In receipt of a Disability Support Pension this will be financially disastrous.
I feel awful asking for help when we’re all feeling the pinch (not to mention the millions of people all over who’re in more strife than me!)
On the other hand: Charlie Needs to Run.
He’s only 14 months old.
Without this surgery he will most likely never be able to run (or jump or play!) again without being plagued by constant pain and the very real risk of further injury.
I have some money put aside for just such an emergency and am doing my utmost to raise the difference myself, through busking and selling off anything I can find around my home.
If you are able to spare any amount it will be invaluable in helping to ease this burden. And if you’re unable to help financially, there may be other ways to contribute!
Please check out Charlie’s Go Fund Me Facebook Group .
Thankyou, thankyou one and all!

* GFM is non-profit but, at the donation page, one can chose to gift a percentage in order to support the platform. There is a slider so that one can choose the amount one wishes to gift GFM.
Also, some folks have wished not to give over their details to GFM, in which case Charlie and I will accept donations of cash or via bank transfer .
Also, also: donors will likely receive a bit of follow-up 'spam' from GFM. While it's mostly just updates on the campaign, it's easy enough to avoid by scrolling to the bottom of the message and clicking the 'unsubscribe' button.
Thank you once again .
