Still Fighting Cancer

Nearly three years since my initial diagnosis, I am still fighting my stage 3C seminoma cancer.  I went most of this year without having to take chemotherapy, since the ketogenic (carb-free) diet I started earlier this year slowed down my disease progression considerably, but now it has finally caught back up with me.  I will be starting chemotherapy in the coming weeks.  Everything I have read says that it has only a 10%-15% chance of curing me.  This will be my first time doing chemotherapy since going ketogenic, however, so hopefully the combination of the diet and the new therapy increases those odds.

Even up to this point, I have been struggling financially quite a bit.  The ketogenic diet is expensive to maintain, but absolutely worth it since it has slowed down my cancer's growth so much.  Now, tho, I am about to start a clinical trial of an experimental new cancer drug, and thus will be driving down to Farmington Hills from Bad Axe (a 112 mile drive) regularly.   In just the coming month alone, I have 10 appointments.  Any money donated will be going towards helping my family and myself cover the cost of travel and the cost of maintaining the diet and supplements I am taking to help my treatment along.
