Charlie’s Big Walk – 1,200 Miles for Rescue Dogs
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Charlie.
I used to live on the streets of Bosnia. It was scary and cold, and I didn’t have a Head Monkey to cuddle me or a warm bed to curl up in. But then a rescue called Love4Dogs changed everything. They got me to safety, gave me medical care, and helped me find my forever home here in Scotland. That’s how I met Head Monkey (you might know him as Alasdair).
Now we’re out on the biggest walk of my life — from Land’s End to John o’Groats — and we’re doing it to raise funds for Love4Dogs, so more dogs like me can get their second chance.
I’ve got my own backpack, my best walking paws, and my Monkey by my side. We’ll be camping, climbing, and tail-wagging our way across Britain.
All the money we raise goes straight to Love4Dogs — to help them rescue, treat, and rehome dogs who need help the most. They never turn away an old dog, a poorly pup, or a loyal little adventurer like me.
Here’s how your support can help:
£5 feeds a dog for a week
£15 covers a vaccination
£30 helps pay for transport from overseas to a foster home in the UK
£50 funds a full vet check and parasite treatment
£100 sponsors the full rescue, care, and rehoming of one dog
Head Monkey is paying for all our gear and supplies himself — so every single penny you give goes directly to the rescue.
Our fundraising target is £1,200 — that’s one pound for every mile we walk together across the country. If we can raise that (or more!), it could help Love4Dogs Reacue and rehome even more dogs like me.
If you can spare some support (in money form, not biscuits — though I won’t say no), we’d be so grateful.
See you on the trail!
Love,
Charlie
