Charlotte Life So Far

On March 17, 2018 at 9:02am Charlotte Star Ambriz was born, birth weight 1 pound and 4:1 onces, length 12:21 inches and was rush to the NICU.
Charlotte survival rate for a gestation birth at 24 weeks was 37% and if she will live to go home someday, she will have a list of medical and treatments down the road.
Charlotte had the following equipment by her bedside on day one : Bililights, blood pressure monitor, cardio-respiratory monitor, central line, C-Pap, endotracheal tude, oxygen machine and a feeding tube.
On March 18, 2018Charlotte was treated for Jaundice for one month due to her liver was unable to remove product called bilirubin from the blood.
On March 30th, 2018 Charlotte develop BPD (Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia) which need extra oxygen and special medication to help her lugs work better.
On Easter weekend at 10am, Charlotte had her first surgery. This was due to a congenital heart defects called PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriousus).
On May 1st, 2018 Charlotte had a ROP test which came back positive for eye surgery due to being on a special oxygen since birth. Charlotte got tested every other two weeks to see if there was going to be a chance of no surgery.
Charlotte was in the NICU for 108 days with many other treatments not listed here.
Charlotte parents are seeking donations to cover medical bills, travel, medications, therapists, and two potential surgeries to come in the near future in 2019.
