Charlotte Parsons Medical Fund

Hello my name is Laura Roecker and I appreciate you taking the time to read the story about my 6 month old niece, Charlotte Parsons. My family and I have been worried about the health of her due to an incidental finding of an abdominal tumor.

On December 3rd, Charlotte was taken to a pediatrician due to a prolonged rash that seemed to not be going away. During the appointment, the pediatrician showed concern to her liver because it felt enlarged. She expressed that Charlotte needed be taken to get an abdominal ultrasound the following day. During the scan, the ultrasound tech stopped and the Radiologist stepped in to complete the exam. They found a mass in her abdominal cavity. They were immediately admitted to the oncology unit to be assessed. The CT scan showed a mass about 5 x 5 inches that has been pushing her kidneys out of place and major blood vessels. They did multiple biopsies of the tumor. The biopsies have shown it to be a Teratoma, but we will not know if it’s cancerous until it’s taken out and looked at by a pathologist. We pray that it’s a benign tumor.

We are raising funds for Ashley and Mike Parsons due to all of the medical expenses Charlotte will have to go through in the next couple months. Charlotte will be having surgery on December 15th to get this tumor removed. She will undergo months of healing and recovery. Thank you to everyone that is helping the Parsons family!
