Charlotte Rose David, affectionately known as "Stick," passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024, at her home on the Big Pine Paiute Reservation, surrounded by her closest friends and family. Born on October 16, 1961, in San Carlos, Arizona, Charlotte was the beloved daughter of Alexander and Geraldine Stone David.
Charlotte spent the majority of her life, 48 years, residing on the Big Pine Paiute Reservation, where she was a cherished member of the community. She attended Southwest Indian School in Arizona and graduated from Bishop High School. Her dedication to education and community service was evident through her work at the Big Pine Paiute Education Center and the TANF programs.
An avid reader, Charlotte found joy in both traditional and virtual board games, and she cherished traveling with her friends and family. Her love for literature led her to participate actively in book clubs, and she was a familiar face at annual pow wows and community gatherings, where her presence will be deeply missed.
Charlotte is survived by her loving sisters, Jean, Ruth, Beverly and Margie, along with her two daughters Kelly and Mariah. Her family and friends remember her as a gentle, kind-hearted and spirited individual who brought warmth and laughter to those around her.
