Charmaine’s Breast Cancer fund

A few months ago, my mom Charmaine, was diagnosed with breast cancer. My mom has two types of cancer, one in each of her breasts. Two weeks ago my mom underwent a double mastectomy and she is about to start chemotherapy and possible radiation. My mom has also tested positive for the BRCA II gene and will need many more surgeries over the next year, including a total hysterectomy. With that being said, there is no way our family could have anticipated the costs that come along with medical treatment such as this and while my mom does thankfully have health insurance through her job, there are many costs and treatments that are not going to be covered and my mom is currently healing and unable to work for the unforeseeable future. To anyone who has never met my mom, she is a true fighter and the sweetest, kindest person I know. She has always been a rock for me to lean on and I am truly blessed to have her as my mother. I only hope to live up to be the kind of mom she was and is to me. My family has been devastated by this diagnosis and it seems that she just keeps getting hit with blow after blow. So we are asking for some help. Financially we know that we have a struggle ahead of us to get her all of the treatments that she needs going forward and anything at this point would help her so much. We are so grateful for the love and support she has already received. A little can go a long way in these situations and we would appreciate any donations she receives❤️
