Help Chase Hit Leukemia Out of the Park!

Donation protected
I am reaching out to you on behalf of the Morris/Marshall family, who are currently facing one of the toughest challenges imaginable. Billy Morris and Nikki Marshall's son, Chase, has been courageously battling B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia since January 2024.

A cancer diagnosis is difficult to accept, especially as a parent. Billy and Nikki have kept Chase's story quiet, as they have had to learn how to adjust to this new "normal" for Chase, and their family. They have been overwhelmed by the offers of support by so many. And although they aren't ones to ask for help, they have been reminded by so many people who care, that it's okay to share Chase's story and let people rally behind him.

Chase is a sixth-grader at Mona Shores Middle School. Unfortunately, his life has taken a turn since this diagnosis. Chase was the typical 11-year-old boy, always active in sports, spending time with his buddies, and gaming with his friends. Since January, Chase has been undergoing intensive chemotherapy at DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The treatment has been grueling, and Chase has needed round-the-clock care, with both his mom and dad at his side.

Nikki has had to put her career on hold to ensure Chase receives the care and attention he needs, while Billy remains working. For now, life looks different for their family, which includes older siblings Dakota and Reyonna.

They had been holding out hope for Nikki to return to work, but the road ahead is daunting. At this time, the next phase of Chase's treatment has been delayed, due to being hospitalized for seven days during the last phase of his treatment. Because of this, Chase is not able to start the next phase until his body fully recovers. This means Nikki will now be home for much longer, as they focus on Chase's health and treatments down the road.

As spring blossoms around us, Chase should be enjoying baseball games and outdoor adventures with friends. Instead, Chase is navigating hospital corridors, spending long hours in bed, and coordinating doctor visits and treatments. His journey is not one they anticipated, but Chase and his family are facing it with incredible strength and resilience.

Let's show the Morris/Marshall family some love. Let's show Chase how many people he has cheering him on from the sidelines! They may not be public with their story all of the time, but every day is a battle in this journey for Chase. Let's rally behind the Morris/Marshall family and allow them to focus on what truly matters: Chase's health and happiness.

Billy and Nikki want to express their sincere gratitude to all of their family and friends who have reached out, as well as Chase’s coaches and teammates, Chase’s classmates and teachers, GE Aerospace (Nikki's employer/coworkers), Billy’s coworkers at Brunswick, and the Roosevelt Park community.

Together, we can help Chase fight leukemia and ensure that he is able to enjoy the joys of being a kid again soon! Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and generosity. Your support means the world to Chase and his family.
