Chase's MYP Project: Shoes for Twabuka
Donation protected
This summer I took a trip to Africa that changed my life. The close encounters with cheetah, lions, rhino and wild dogs were amazing but my interactions with local kids in Zambia was what had a lasting effect. We were able to spend a day with kids my age and get a small glimpse of their life in rural Africa.
After visiting the Twabuka Primary School in Zambia, I felt both grateful for all that I have back home, and compelled to do more for those who really need it.
I am Chase Hodulich, a 15-year-old freshman at Riverwood High School. My school requires students to do a MYP project where we work to make a product or work towards a goal while developing new skills and learning time management.
I wanted my goal to be something that I was passionate about.
I wanted my efforts to make an impact.
I wanted to directly help the kids I met in Zambia.
My goal is to buy and ship new shoes for an entire grade at the school.
An opportunity to help these children is something that I am thrilled to have, and I would be extremely grateful if you could join me in my effort.
I will continue to work to the best of my abilities in order to make a difference in the lives of these children, and any gift that you are able to give to help will be much appreciated.
Thank you.
