Golden Eagle Clubhouse Fundraiser
Donation protected
Sometime in the night on Saturday, June 22nd, the Chatham Girls Minor Softball Associations clubhouse was broken into. This unfortunate incident resulted in the theft of a substantial amount of items and equipment, including a complete clean-out of our canteen stock and essential kitchen equipment that our association heavily relies on.
For many, the clubhouse is like a second home during the year. It’s where we hold every planning meeting, and where we host summer camp. It’s where we run registration out of, and where our hundreds of youth athletes frequent daily. It’s where we house our equipment, and this year it was where we re-opened the canteen portion to be able to serve the community surrounding the diamonds.
As a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting our community and providing safe, fun and affordable experiences for youth across Chatham-Kent, this burglary has dealt a severe blow to our efforts. The loss of these resources is not taken lightly.
At the request of our incredible community, we have started a GoFundMe account in an attempt to re-coup the cost of replenishing our canteen and kitchen equipment, repairing and reinforcing the front and back door of the clubhouse, and installing a security system that will deter this from ever happening again.
Any cent that we make over our goal will go directly back into the programming, camps, and clinics that we provide to Chatham-Kent youth.
As a small, non-profit association, we understand the value of a dollar and are thankful for every single one donated.
