Chattanooga family lost EVERYTHING in tornado
On Easter Sunday, around midnight, an EF3 tornado ripped through the Chattanooga, TN area destroying homes and businesses in its path.
My sister & brother-in-law, Lauren and Trey Kilgore, and Lauren’s father, Lee Wright, were unfortunate victims of this tragic event. While they are so thankful to be alive and unharmed, by the grace of God, they still lost their entire home and all their possessions. They now have to start rebuilding from scratch, during these trying times. And we are asking for help to assist them on the road to recovery. Please donate whatever you can. Every little bit will help them!
Lauren described the ordeal as the scariest thing they ever experienced. They barely made it downstairs to the basement, no shoes, just in time. They managed to grab her 72 year old, sleeping father and the 3 of them huddled together in the basement hallway as the entire first floor of their home was ripped off. They were sucked up into the air as the winds swept through their house. It was a terrifying ordeal. Thankfully their kids weren’t home at the time. Prayers are needed and very appreciated as they are agonizing over such a horrific experience and a tremendous loss.
They’ve lost clothes, shoes, furniture...their home itself! Many of the items have sentimental value that is priceless. Processing it all is hard enough. What they haven’t lost, though, is their positivity and gratitude that they’re still alive and together. All the rest can be replaced, repaired and restored.
That’s where you and I can step in and alleviate a little of the burden. Please donate what you can and keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they begin the journey to rebuild.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
