CH/CR - Irene Parker - AGM's - Expenses

Good news! Irene Parker has agreed to fly in from her home in Florida and travel to our Carriage resort neighbourhood during the week of October 20th, just in time for the Carriage Hills and Carriage Ridge Annual Meetings. During her stay, she is offering to speak with owners, the Board of Directors, Wyndham reps, the media, government officials, CVOA reps and anyone else that we can bring into conversations during the week that she is in town.
You will recall that Irene has been spearheading the series of publications about our timeshare plights in the online publication Inside Timeshare. (see this example https://insidetimeshare.com/the-tuesday-slot-47/ )
She has also personally sent messages supporting us to the President of the Canadian Vacation Ownership Association and senior-ranking officials at Wyndham.
As a retiree, all of Irene's efforts to help stamp out timeshare scams and advocate for timeshare reform, are provided on a volunteer basis (ie completely unpaid!).
A few of us recently asked Irene if she would come see us in person and help us bring our message to legislators and the media. She has agreed!
Because she works on a completely volunteer basis, I would like to 'pass the proverbial hat' to solicit help in paying for her flight and rental car for the week she will be here.
She has secured a cheap return flight from her home in Florida to the Buffalo airport. I will personally be picking her up in Buffalo and bringing her to the Horseshoe Valley area where others in this Facebook group have already kindly arranged to cover her accommodations. At the end of the week, I will bring her back to the Buffalo airport for her flight home.
Please indicate if you are willing to throw a few dollars into the 'hat' to help pay for her flights and rental car. I propose that if 30-60 people each tossed in $10-20, that would be plenty to cover the flight and car.
Anybody in...? At this time, I'm just looking for general pledges of support. I'll figure out in the coming days how best to collect your kind contributions.
