Cheer Mats for the St. Marie’s High School

Hello! My name is Alyson Barden. I am participating in this years 2023 Distinguished Young Women program. AKA Junior Miss. My “Be Your Best Self” project this year is to help out our high school cheer leaders. Every year they compete all around northern Idaho. Unfortunately they don’t have a full size mat to practice on which puts them at a disadvantage for competition season. They haven’t had new mats in over 14 years.

and the life has pretty much been used out of them. My goal is to get 6 full size panels to make 1 full mat. Each panel is around 900$. These mats will last for two decades and help our cheer leaders put their amazing talent to their fullest potential. The impact it’s going to have in this cheer team is my main focus and I am so excited to see what they would be able to accomplish.
