Cheer Parent's Sponsored Competition

4 brave parents, 1 national champion cheerleader and an ambitious cheer coach are about to take on a whole new challenge!

The incredible parent group of Oxford Brookes Cheer Academy will be training as cheerleaders over the next month and hitting the mat to compete at the Cheer GEMs Regionals competition on the 23rd of June in Carterton.

Cheerleading is a physically demanding, high energy sport. Our parents will be expected to show skills in tumbling, jumps, dance and stunts!

The parents have come together from across all three of the OBCA Teams with kids in the Legends, Little Legends and Hot Shots teams. National champion Emma will be taking to the mat beside them to help support their journey and keep the team motivated. And the ever ambitious Jas will be providing free coaching time to the parents to ensure they are well prepared for the challenge.

All the hard work will be in a bid to raise funds for the next season of OBCA as we work towards more competitions, harder skills and bigger things! The money will help to purchase hair accessories, pay guest teachers and invest in new equipment.
