Chef Chico Mendonca Final Trip Home to the Azores

Chef Chico was born in the Azores, lived in Bermuda, Dallas and Orlando.  These are the places that made him who he is and where he formed countless lasting friendships.

Many friends who would have liked to have seen him over the last few months did not have that opportunity given the risk of COVID and the aggressive nature of his condition.
 
Over the last few months, the goal of  traveling to the Azores this summer to visit his family and his beloved homeland sustained him.  The fast advancing disease would not allow this happen but let’s  support him and his family make a final trip home to San Miguel, next to his parents, and along the way give his many friends in Dallas and Bermuda the opportunity to celebrate him.

Donations will pay for the family’s travel costs and memorial expenses, and many other expenses that will arise for the family in the coming months.
