Chef Don had life saving surgery

The family and friends of Don Devore
 are asking for your financial support as Don is facing a long and costly recovery.

Chef Don had emergency major surgery on Saturday, May 8 for a bowel obstruction.  What was thought to be incurable cancer, thankfully turned out to be treatable diverticular inflammation, requiring the removal of part of his colon, a long hospital stay, future surgery to reconnect his colon and 3 months recuperation.

Being the sole proprietors (& the ONLY employees) of a small business (Broadway Market), this is an enormous setback for Don and his wife, Lauren.  It's hard to run a business and prepare meals from a hospital bed.

Like many small businesses (particularly those in the food service industry) Broadway Market went from "thriving" to surviving" during COVID. Through creative innovations and hard work, things were turning around until this medical catastrophe put Chef Don in the hospital.

Don and Lauren need some help to save their business and family.

"If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.  But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up."  (Ecclesiastes 4:10)

Lauren is helping Don to "get back up," but they pray that YOU can help them face the nearly insurmountable bills and stress during the next few months. Sincere and humble THANKS to everyone who can help them at this time.
