Chef Perry's Legacy: Support His Family's Journey

Our family is heartbroken to share the devastating news that Chef Perry Li unexpectedly passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024.

Chef Perry, as most of you knew him, had a deep love and strong passion for family, friends, and serving his community; whom he considered to be part of his family. His commitment and dedication to his craft were unparalleled. You could always find him hard at work by day at the Cocky Rooster Cafe or at Just 1 More Rooster Bar & Grill at night. When not in uniform creating food for all to enjoy, you could find Chef Perry spending time with his beloved son teaching him all the complex intricacies of politics, military history, martial arts, gaming, and family traditions; or playing pool with his patron friends while cheering on his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys; or practicing and perfecting his Kung Fu Wing Chung martial arts discipline; or spending time with his beloved wife Lynette researching and sourcing out new and creative products and ideas to share with his beloved community. His untimely and unexpected passing has left a void that can never be filled.

The funds raised from this fundraiser will be used to ease any financial burden that Lynette and Daniel will have during this incredibly difficult time as well as help support Daniel’s future education expenses. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference over the weeks, months, and years to come.

Our sincere gratitude to all of you: his family, friends, staff, the community and all who knew and loved him for always supporting Chef Perry. But, more importantly, THANK YOU in advance for your continued support of his family.

The family will receive friends and family from 5:00pm - 8:00pm Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Deltona Memorial, 1293 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, FL 32763.
