Chief Rholetter Relief Fund

Donation protected
On Saturday February 12, 2022 Fire Chief Terry Rholetter was injured while battling a wildfire with Macon County Fire Services in the Mountainside Road and Big Ridge Road area of Macon County. Chief Rholetter was installing a fire control line when his position was overrun by flames. He was transported to a burn center in Augusta, Georgia for treatment of serious injuries. Chief Rholetter is a career fire fighter with Macon County Fire Services serving as Captain. He started in the fire service as a junior member of Otto Volunteer Fire and Rescue in 1998. Since that time he has moved up the ranks to serving as Chief since 2015.

Upon arrival at the burn center in Augusta it was determined he had sustained burns to 40% of his body. The majority of the injuries were on his arms, legs, and back. After multiple surgeries the outlook is hopeful and a full recovery is expected for Chief. However this is going to be a long road back involving many more surgeries and rehab.

The purpose of this fund is to provide Chief and his family financial assistance during this journey to help pay for travel, child care, bills, and any other unforeseen expenses that may arise.
