In loving memory of Chelsea Cameron-Horner

On the morning of March 14, 2024 the world became a little smaller as we lost my "baby" cousin Chelsea.

She fought Marfans for most of her life, as well as many other invisible illnesses, including scoliosis, anxiety, marfans related cardiac struggles, rare genetic conditions and many more. Unfortunately, these pre-existing conditions aren't popular with life insurance companies. So, all expenses are now out of pocket.

This beautiful woman fought pain every single day of her life. Yet she still used her voice to advocate for others dealing with similar hurdles.

Her mother, my aunt, Joan, wouldn't never ask for a single thing from a soul. (She is going to have words for me when she finally sees this! She is not someone who is comfortable accepting help)

Even when her husband (my uncle and Chelsea's father) passed away nearly 3 years ago, she carried on as the household bread-winner.

They have both been involved in so many aspects of the local communities.

To quote Joan's tribute to Chelsea, they included:

"Beavers and cubs, bowling, Step in Time Dance, homeschooling, or perhaps you remember her from her pageant days. She loved representing Osoyoos as Princess from 2008 to 2010. She toured so many places, attended so many events and made life long friendships. Others will have known her from the many plays she was in from Mizzoula Theatre in school to her days with SOAP. Or, you were in her online community. Then there were the families (local and tourist) that she nannies for. Please know that she loved and cherished your Littles."

This is just who they are. Involved, loving, selfless and generous.
