In Honor of Chelsea Magracia Ruiz
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Neighbors,
Our names are Steven, Sarah, and Connie, and we are reaching out on behalf of the Ruiz and Magracia families.
In January 2024, the world lost a beautiful and kind soul in Chelsea Magracia Ruiz after a 2-year battle with colon cancer. Chelsea was our best friend and an integral part of all the lives that she touched. To others, she was a wife, a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a niece, an aunt, a god sister, a godmother, and a compassionate and selfless person to all those around her. She found beauty all around her and anyone who was ever in her presence, for even a minute, could feel her charismatic energy, see her bright and contagious smile, and notice her zest for living each moment to the fullest. Chelsea was a ballerina, a cheerleader, Miss San Diego, a small-business owner, a world-traveler, a woman of faith, and so much more. Although she will be missed deeply, those closest to her know that she would want us to live our lives selflessly, adventurously, and gracefully in her honor.
During Chelsea's journey, she came across some amazing women in Eastlake's Cancer Support Group. When Chelsea first joined the group, they welcomed her with open arms and a support bag, which included a lot of thoughtful items she could use daily during her journey. She had the biggest smile on her face when she opened it and went through everything that was included in the bag, as it was stuffed to the very top. This group was healing for her-- she was able to connect with the people in the group, she felt inspired to live and fight through her cancer, and having a hand in creating these bags for people that would be diagnosed and being a part of their journey meant the world to her.
So, in true Chelsea fashion, we want to keep her love and tradition alive in supporting the creation of these bags. Any kind contribution would support Eastlake Church's Cancer Support Group and other community support groups and services to honor Chelsea's spirit--Thank you so much in advance!
