Dearest Friends & Family,
As many of you know, on February 27, 2017 Chelsea suffered a stroke and had to undergo an emergency procedure to remove the clot from her brain. After spending 5 days in the I.C.U, she has been moved into an acute inpatient rehabilitation center. She is slowly regaining feeling on the left side of her body, learning to walk, talk and perform everyday activities. She will be attending physical, occupational, and speech therapy four times a day until she's able to get back to the life she once knew. With the support and love of her family and friends she is getting stronger every day. However, as of now, we are unsure just how long her journey to recovery will be.
Chelsea is a loving mother, daughter, sister, friend and fiancé. For those of you who know her, you know just how strong she is. She will not let this injury define her. This past year has been a great year for her, she just turned 30, returned to school, and got engaged. She has so much to look forward to and should be using these next few months to focus on getting better, and not stressing about how she is going to pay for treatment. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated, and will help the Martin-Cruz family with medical expenses, while Chelsea is unable to work.
Thank you!
