Chelsea, Minden, and baby Kylan

With this go fund me we are hoping to ease some of the financial strain that is ahead for this beautiful family. Following the loss of their first pregnancy, Chelsea and Minden were excited and blessed to find out they will be expecting a beautiful baby boy. As the pregnancy got further along they discovered that their sweet baby boy Kylan has hypoplastic left heart syndrome and aortic stenosis/atresia. He will basically be born with only half of a functioning heart, and will need to have the right half re-routed to do the work of the left side. This diagnosis means surgeries and medical interventions as soon as he is born, and the beginning of an immensely long journey for the family as a whole. They will need to stay at UCSF for at least 1 month following his birth (this could extend up to 9 months). At 3-7 months old, Kylan will need to return for a second surgery for a minimum of 2 weeks. A third surgery will take place again at 3-4 years. Between these definite surgeries, he could face additional procedures, surgeries, and transplants. Financially this will be an immense undertaking that this beautiful family doesn’t deserve. Chelsea will need to significantly reduce her pet sitting availability to allow for potential unexpected trips to doctors and/or hospital visits, and the typical expenses with cars, bills, and food will of course not slow down. We are hoping to help them with any financial burdens so that they can focus their energy and mental strength on this sweet baby boy entering the world and the fight that is coming in just a short amount of time.
