Please help my dad if you can

There is a place called Crystal Beach. It's in Florida, an unincorporated beachside hamlet of less than two thousand people. You have to walk on a shell road to the post office if you want mail. My dad has lived there for 32 years. It's the closest thing I have to a hometown. Eliza, who lost her own childhood home this year, has clung to it as the one place that never changes. Well, it did. Hurricanes Helene and Milton have changed the sweet village forever. My dad's house took on several feet of saltwater. It shorted out appliances and ruined everything it touched. His furniture, like that of so many Floridians, is piled in the road.
Insurance money will be a slow, painful, disappointing process. My dad won't leave Florida. I've offered! He wants to be near the work on the house and near other family and friends going through similar trauma.
Please, please, please help if you are able.
I wish I could post more pictures of Crystal Beach. It is such a special place. Their house was built over a hundred years ago.
It's a place worth protecting.
[My name's Chelsea Cain. I'm writing on behalf of my parents. Funds will go to my dad's account and be spent to pay costs related to housing in the wake of the double hurricanes. ]
