Chelsea's Surgery in November

I've been watching Chelsea suffer with a severe case of Endometriosis for several years now and, believe me, there has never been anything that has made me feel more helpless.  It's so frustrating to not be able to do anything to help alleviate her pain and suffering.  Her various doctors have tried all of the traditional surgeries and treatments for this horrible disease ... all to no avail.  She is one of the "special ones", as her doctor describes her, who is in the 5-10% of patients who has not responded to or found any relief from any of these traditional treatments.  SO ... Next stop - Atlanta!  Chelsea has been referred to the Center for Endometriosis Care in Atlanta. It is one of only two renowned clinics in the US that specialize in treating women with difficult to treat cases of endometriosis. We've consulted with the surgeon there and he scheduled her for surgery in November, 2015.  Unfortunately, because of the "cutting edge" nature of their treatments and surgery, they are an "out of network" medical provider as far as her health insurance is concerned.  Consequently, her financial responsibility for the surgery is payable up front.  We estimate the out of pocket medical expense including the cost of our trip to Atlanta (and at least a week's stay in a hotel) will be $10,000.  And that's not taking into account the 2-3 weeks of work that she will have to miss while recuperating.  But, that's our goal.  Those who are able, I hope you will find it in your heart to help us raise the money for this surgery and trip to Atlanta.
