Chemo Treatments for John Kirsch

Donation protected
My dear friends and family, I write this to you with a hopeful heart and tears in my eyes.  My brother-in-law, who’s always been more of a cool uncle and father figure to me, John Kirsch, AKA “The Dent Guy”, was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma - Acute Lymphatic Leukemia (CLL).  John has already begun chemotherapy treatments, and to my family’s shock, the treatments are not covered under the family’s insurance.  Cancer is an extremely difficult physical battle.  While John is a strong man and already fighting the physical battle, the financial battle is overwhelming.

My sister, Renae, is doing her absolute best to keep the family afloat during this extremely trying time. With my niece,  Jessica already in college, and my nephew, Brandon, quickly growing into a man and eyeing up college,  she has her hands full.  John is a wonderful, loving husband and father, a hard-working man who built his own business and has dedicated his life to raising his wonderful children while teaching them the value of hard work and instilling them with a strong, moral foundation.  Growing up, I never remember John or Renae asking me, or anyone, for anything. I only remember them generously sharing what they had earned, whether it be a weekend trip down the shore or just some quality time and a meal at home.  They gave and gave and never asked for or expected anything in return.  John was always more than a brother-in-law to me. He was always there for me as a great role model during a very impressionable time in my young life.  Some of you may recall John as the big teddy bear who brought us to tears at my wedding when he became emotional while reading at our Mass.

Even the most generous and loving people on the planet sometimes need help.  But I know they won’t ask, it just isn’t their nature.  So I am asking for help on their behalf.  John is still running his body shop even as he faces this battle, because he always puts his family’s well-being before his own. You can imagine the physical toll that chemotherapy takes on a person, given that so many of us have had loved ones battle cancer.  I ask you to please consider donating to this cause. There is no amount too small and every little bit will help the family as they bond together to fight this battle as a team.  If you can donate financially, I implore you to do so. If you cannot, I kindly ask that you pray for John, Renae, Jessica and Brandon, as they are a Catholic family of deep-rooted faith.  Lastly, I ask you to share this post, as often as you’d like with as many people and avenues as you’d like.  Thank you so much for your generosity, prayers and time. John means the world to so many of us, and we want to show him just a fraction of how much he is loved.
