Chemo Will Save Service Dog Egon
Donation protected
Hi my name is Heather Snapp. Let me begin by saying I would never ask for money from anyone, however I am desperate to save my Service Dog Egon. Egon was a rescue from an animal shelter in Corpus Christi.TX I just thought I saved her.. she actually has been saving me for the last 7yrs. She accompanies me to almost all medical appointments. I suffer from anxiety and major depression. I have Multiple Sclerosis, and am being tested for possible Myasthenia Gravis. Egon helps me when I have balance issues, seizure like activity, and heart rate issues both low and high. She lets me know when I am having an MS flare before having an MRI to confirm the issue. Stress is a major trigger for my illness and as you will read below you will see that my life has been quite chaotic very recently.
On October 15,2023 my young adopted daughter who is 19 has gone missing from Kingsport, TN. The TBI is involved, and have interviewed with WJHL, and WCYB in hopes of finding her.
In September 2023 I was Hospitalized for five days due to a MS flare and Egon spent three out of the five with me.
On September 27, 2023 I lost a very dear family member to a sudden heart attack.. he was only 35yrs old.
In 2021 another close family member passed away.
Now Egon who has been my rock has been diagnosed with lymphoma apparently in dogs it is a very aggressive cancer. The chemo is so expensive! With chemo she could have years but with Steriods only that is also used to treat cancer it only will give her weeks. I cannot lose my best friend and family member to this monster cancer. I cannot lose her without trying everything! Please help me afford her treatment! I just want help with vetting expenses! You can call East Tennessee Veterinary Hospital to confirm her diagnosis 4236203701 we aren't sure if we will be referred to UT or another Knoxville vet as UT is backed up and we may not be able to get in soon enough so a referral is being sent to another vet's office just in case. With your donation it feels as if you could be saving both of our lives.. I cannot going on without her.
