Chemotheraphy (Cancer) has drained our funds!

Hi, my name is Scotty. I am graciously asking friends, family and others to help during our time of need.

My wife, Traci, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer and has been going through Chemotheraphy for the past 5 months.

We were excited to hear that she finished her Chemo treatments and was looking forward to getting her surgery to remove what was left of the cancer.

Today, we found out from the surgeon that she is unable to do surgery at this time due to the tumor not responding to the Chemo treatments and the tumor actually growing throughout Chemo. The tumor is now invading the Lymph nodes.

The surgeon stated that the type of surgery needed is no longer done because it is too morbid. She would have to remove the whole breast, all the surrounding muscle and all of the lymph nodes in that arm. She emphasized that this surgery is no longer done because it is too invasive. She advised that we go back to the Oncologist and begin a new round of more invasive Chemotheraphy.

The surgeon also is ordering CT Scan of the brain and abdomen to see if the cancer has spread.

During this horrific and stressful journey, my wife has lost her job and I had to put my schooling on pause while. We are currently waiting to hear back from Social Security to see if she gets approved for disability. Once approved, we should be more financially stable.

I am honestly at a loss and did not know what amount to put for a goal or how to ask for help.

With medical bills piling up, and expensive weekly co-pays for treatments, our savings has been depleted. I am currently looking for 2 other jobs to make ends meet, but I am hesitant to work 3 jobs because I want to be there, mentally and physically, to support my wife.

It is with much love that I hesitantly ask for any type of donation to help with our financial burden.
