Chen Family Home
Donation protected
On Thursday December 30th, our family home in Louisville, Colorado burned down along with nearly 1,000 other homes due to the Marshall grass fires. My dad and sister, Sophia had little time to evacuate. They were fortunate to be able to get our beloved dogs and a backpack full of clothes.
Our family has owned that home since 1992. It’s the home where my sister Carissa was born, where we took pictures for our first school dances, where my mom would host lasagna dinners for my basketball team, and most importantly for the last two years it’s been where we continued to cherish all of our memories with Alana.
Many friends and family have been asking how they can best support us so we set up this donation page. Donations will go toward buying essentials in the coming weeks and new clothes for my sister and dad, rent for temporary housing, and rebuilding our family home.
While we are devastated from losing our family home, we are also grateful that everyone is safe and for all that we do have. We are hopeful and fully believe that our small town will rebuild and continue to be the best place for families to grow up, just like it was for us. We have so much gratitude for all of our family and friends from near and far who have checked in on us regularly and sent us all of their love while we head into this next chapter.
