Cheri Denniston and Allan Denniston's Funeral Fund

Donation protected
While we all imagined 2021 to be the year that life got a little easier, this year has posed as a very trying time for our family. The loss of both Cheri and Allan in a matter of two months has been the most painful thing our family has had to endure.

Cheri Denniston was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her joy and laughter could brighten up any room. She was the person whom her family depended on for anything and everything. When one of us faced a difficulty in life, Cheri was there to provide advice and prayer - or she'd take on their problems as her own and solve it herself. She took initiative with her family and always ensured they were okay any way she was able.

Cheri was the type of person who needed to make sure those around her were happy. Everywhere she went, she would constantly be thinking about the ones she loved. She enjoyed buying things for others that she felt they needed. Cheri naturally had others on her mind and it brought her joy to serve them.

Allan Denniston was a great son and wonderful brother. From a young age he naturally had a big heart. Where he could, he would give as much as possible. He would go without to ensure others were happy. Most times he had less than those he was giving to. This didn't matter. He enjoyed making others around him happy.

While life had been rather unfair to Allan, it gave him the ability to empathize and provide comfort to others in a special way. He always knew what to say depending on what a person was going through; or when no words were needed, his all consuming hugs would wrap that person in his love. He always had the best hugs.

Cheri and Allan meant so much to so many. It is impossible to fully express all the amazing parts of who each of them are to us. We would love the opportunity to provide a funeral service to honor them the way they deserve. Our desire is to lay our loved ones to rest at Rose Hills Mortuary, in Whittier CA, near other family that currently reside there. We understand that now is a difficult time for many. Any contribution, whether monetary, prayer or anything else, is immensely appreciated.
