Cherie Mason Memorial Scholarship

This week the world has lost a light and I have lost a friend, mentor, colleague, teacher, confidante and partner.

She was a force to be reckoned with. She was funny, feisty, and ferocious in her love of family, friends, her church and her job.

She had a quick smile, a warm hug and seemingly endless patience with those who were lucky enough to call her their teacher. She was uniquely passionate about her job as a Floral Design instructor at Gwinnett Technical College, bringing an energy and vibrancy and a spirit of playfulness to the task of preparing students for productive and satisfying work as floral design professionals.

It is her wish that her legacy be expressed by continuing to support those that seek to brighten our lives through flowers by providing students with funding to help with the costs of obtaining professional floristry credentials at Gwinnett Technical College.
