Cherry Alley to Modern Art Alley
Donation protected
My name is Bob Albin and I am the proprietor of The Tawsty Flower Bed & Breakfast and The Haines Suites in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Earlier this year artist Jim Reid and I set out on a pursuit to transform a section of Cherry Alley into what we have coined “Modern Art Alley”. With the permission of the building owner, the inspiration of artists Joan Miró and Alexander Calder, over 100 hours of our personal time, and $2,500 for materials we completed what we hope will be the first of a group of murals along Cherry Alley. Note that all of the time and money for this first mural was fully donated by Jim and I.

Now we ask for your support to help complete the next mural.

We are ready to start the next mural on a section of Cherry Alley that runs alongside Gram's Eatery (formerly Cherry Alley Cafe). This time we kindly request your financial support. We have secured permission of the building owner and I will personally donate my time to this project. Your support will be needed to cover the cost of materials and to compensate Jim who primarily makes his living as an artist.
The new mural will be a series of three panels and will pull inspiration from Miró, Calder, Matisse, Picasso, and Bridget Rielly.
All supporters of this project will be invited to a gathering in the Spring/Summer of 2021. Hopefully covid restrictions will be lifted at that time and we all can gather in the company of these murals, enjoy some live music, and indulge in some drinks and snacks.
Will you help us reach our goal of $4,000 within the next few weeks so we can start and complete this next mural before the end of 2020?
