Help us say our final goodbye to our Mum;
Cheryl!
As many people know addiction consumes the person, it takes away their life, their family and most of all their health.
Our mum has struggled for many years with addiction and the consequences of its grasp.
At the age of 47, 4 weeks away from her 48th birthday she sadly passed away in hospital, after begging the nurses for her children. We never receieved that phone call. We never got the chance to say goodbye.
We applied to DWP for the Funeral Expenses Payment however they've come back and told us they won't release any funds as my sister isn't on benefits due to her circumstances, we are being penalised for this and its unfair.
Regardless of her flaws and imperfections (sure we all have many) she was still our mum. Our mum deserves a send off just like any other friend/family member should. Its our way of finally putting to bed years of trauma and heartache and finally being able to move forward with our lives.
If you can donate anything as little as £1, we'd appreciate it! Her ashes are ready to be collected but as there's no payment, we cannot collect her.
Thanks
