Cheryl Ashworth Kidney Transplant

Hello, my name is Hayley Ashworth. I am fundraising on behalf of my mom, Cheryl Ashworth and our family.

As some of you might know, my mom has been sick most of her life after being diagnosed with severe Crohn’s disease at the age of 16. As her world was turned upside down at such a young age my mom had to deal with the battles of this disease. From then till now my mom has undergone over 12 surgeries and hundreds of hospital visits.

Over time this disease has put a toll on her body, causing her to go into kidney failure. She has been going in for dialysis 3 days a week for 3 years! The time has come that she needs a kidney transplant, we have been blessed with a donor for our mom. She is scheduled for her transplant later this year in Vancouver, BC.

Our mom will have to stay in Vancouver for 3 months after her transplant for treatment and to monitor her, my father along side her will be unable to work. As they will need care and support at this time, looking to help and relieve some of the financial stress this will bring, the cost of missing wages, housing, travel and food.
