Cheryl Findlay

Hello everyone,

 

 

This summer Cheryl was diagnosed with Gastric Cancer. 

She maintains a steadfast and positive attitude as she navigates a sea of unknowns. Getting cancer sucks, but getting it during a global pandemic has added an extra level of uncertainty and stress. Often times Cheryl has been going alone into appointments and treatments. She had an extensive stay in the hospital this summer and eventually had surgery.  She has been receiving chemotherapy and starting now she will begin 5 weeks of radiation.  She will be required to stay in a hotel in London during the week to be able to make daily trips to the hospital (she’ll be able to come home on weekends, weather permitting).

 

Cheryl has been off from work since July 2021 and will be off work for many months to come as she continues to receive treatment. During all this, she maintains the expenses of her home plus now the additional expenses that come with travelling back and forth for chemo and radiation in London and Wingham.   

Ron and Joyce continue to be Cheryl's angels by loving & supporting her, driving her and just generally being the worlds best parents!  Now
it's time for all of us to rally around her and show your support by donating a few bucks to help her with all the expenses. In true Cheryl form, she continues to fight this battle with grace and positivity but she also needs to know we are all here rooting for her!
