Unfortunately my grandmother, Cheryl Harper, lost her battle with cancer. She was sadly only 66 years old. She was a strong, amazing woman who beat cancer many times. We unfortunately got the bad news that the cancer made it way back into her life in the summer. It was first in her bones, and a few weeks ago we were told it metastasized to her brain. They tried chemo and radiation which did not work. We were told any further cancer treatments would hurt her. Because of this, my dad and aunts made the very difficult decision on Friday to put her on hospice as she had declined very quickly and was only given 2 weeks-1 month to live. In these past few days she declined even more quickly and was in a comatose state as of Sunday. Unfortunately, she passed away yesterday. She left behind 4 loving children, 3 daughters and a son. She also was survived by her 14 grandchildren. Due to her cancer being in her life for so long she unfortunately did not qualify for life insurance that would help offset the costs of a funeral and memorial service. 100% of the donations will help pay for funeral and memorial expenses so that my family does not have to deal with going through such sadness and financial hardship at the same time. No donation is too small and will be greatly appreciated. Maw maw was loved by many and was one of the most caring and compassionate women I have ever met. We were so lucky to have her in our lives for the time we did. Please keep my family in your prayers in this time of need.
