Cheryl Kicks Cancer 2020
Friends:
My stepmom & close friend, Cheryl Gaughan, recently went through a very complicated surgery to remove cancer in her intestines and abdomen. Fortunately, very competent surgeons completed Peritoneal Carcinomatosis-Cytoreductive Surgery and HIPEC. Unfortunately, the recovery is very long and arduous. The post surgery care & 6 weeks in the hospital have racked up some pretty hefty medical bills.
In addition to fighting cancer, readjusting to eating and a fun new tube diet (sarcasm intended), COVID-19 has complicated her forecast salary at work. She plans to begin working remotely in September, but still faces medical bills and expenses that are steep! She’ll also need to remain flexible at work in the event additional treatments are necessary.
This fundraiser is intended to assist Cheryl with the unexpected additional 3 weeks of hospitalization bills, months of post surgery follow-up, & to help supplement her normal bills—especially while her work schedule is in flux.
Cheryl is one of the bravest, hardest working people I know & she is not one to ask forhelp or $. The reality is though that sometimes we all need a little help & it wouldn’t take much to help shoulder this financial burden. If 500 people chip in $20, she will be in much better shape to kick cancer’s butt! Are you able to help today? If so, thank you! Ifnot, thank you for reading this & for keeping her recovery in your thoughts & prayers!
