Greetings Friends and Family!
My name is Marnie West, daughter of Cheryl Weinreich. Last week the transmission went out of mom’s car and the repair cost is not worth trying to keep this vehicle limping along. Mom has had the Grand Marquis for well over 11 years. She really loves this car and is very sad that it is time to part. She and dad had many adventures and drives during the last years of Dad’s life in this car. The bottom line, Cheryl needs a new ride!
Cheryl has been actively involved in the community and the lives of so many people. Opening her home for people who need a place of refuge, whether is for a night or a few years. Hosting weekly and monthly bible studies, potluck dinners, and other kinds of social gatherings where people can come in and find a welcome place. Cheryl has a standing, open-ended invitation to anyone for a place to celebrate holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, 4th of July, etc.) if they have no place or family to be with. Cheryl has grafted so many people into her heart, volunteering her time and energy (and really amazing home cooking) for decades here in the Rockford area. “Welcome, to the table of Grace” is the sincere prelude that Mom pronounces at every meal.
That being stated, we are hoping (my brothers and I) that the folks my Mom has served and cared for would be willing to help her and give back. Dad’s extended injury and cancer took a major toll on their retirement funds and after all the bills were paid, there was nothing left. Mom is living on a fixed income and there really is no room for a car payment. Currently, she has the loan of a car from a friend and so we have a few months to raise the funds. We are hoping to be able to gift her with this by mid-November.
We know and trust that God will provide with His perfect timing and we give all Glory to him.
