Cheryl Waggie- Medical Fundraiser

Cheryl’s Story:

In July 2023 health issues showed up that led to further testing and a diagnosis of stage three clear-cell carcinoma uterine cancer. On July 31 Cheryl underwent an open hysterectomy with a lymph node removal due to spread of the cancer. Cheryl will begin chemotherapy (two drugs) and immunotherapy in 1-2 weeks. The plan is for six rounds of chemo along with the immunotherapy for up to two years. She will also have a PET scan in the near future.

Cheryl has worked as an in home daycare provider for over 37 years- which was always her childhood dream. She loves kids and has cared for too many to count She is currently unable to work as she goes through treatment. She has also been a care provider for her husband who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s over 20 years ago. David was a HS science teacher and coach for many years until retirement.

Our family wants to thank all of you for the continued prayers and support as we navigate this unexpected journey Several people have reached out regarding supporting Cheryl during this time. We appreciate all of the prayers and other ways people have helped support Cheryl. They live in an amazing community ⭐️
