Chester marathon to raise money for Kidney research uk
My sister Leah was diagnosed in March 2020 with chronic kidney disease and is now in kidney failure and at the point where she now needs a transplant, thankfully our mum is a match and is able to give Leah one of hers. However, there are thousands of other people with kidney failure who don’t have a match, so I am running the Chester marathon to raise money to help fund research and help struggling families.
Kidney disease is a silent killer. There are three million people in the UK with it right now and there is no cure. We are the leading UK charity committed to funding life-saving treatments for those with kidney diseases. We are Kidney Research UK.
