Chester’s recovery & vet bills

Donation protected

On the morning of November 19, Tabatha Barry found her cat Chester bleeding and unable to walk at the top of her front yard’s entry way. She immediately took him to the vet, thinking he must have been hit by a car, but there she learned that he had actually been shot in the back by a pellet gun.  Whoever shot Chester left him with a pellet lodged into his spine, and unable to walk. The veterinarians are recommending that he stay there for 5 days to see if he can regain mobility in his back legs once the shock wears off, but they left Tabby and mike with little hope. 10% is the chances that he will be able to walk again and live a fulfilling cat life. Unfortunately the placement of the pellet would cost them approximately 10k to have it surgically removed, and not a Garuntee that cheater will walk again. As of right now, Tabatha and Mike are facing $700 in veterinarian fees, right before the holidays! If Chester does not pull through, the vets are recommending euthanizing him which will cost more money. As much as we would love the animal abuser to pay (both financially and legally) for Chester‘s medical bills, we do not have proof of who shot him.

My hopes are that we as a community can come together and donate money to help ease the bills for poor Chester, and add some comfort to Tabby in this emotional time. Thank you for taking the time to hear our story & every donation is appreciated beyond belief. For those of you who are unable to financially help, please keep Chester in your prayers. We are not ready to say goodbye to him.

Thank you
